Can I trial a class before signing up?
Yes! We offer your first class free, if you think Royal Jiu Jitsu is a good fit for you you can sign up to a pay monthly option, we have two memberships available. This is a no contract membership.
How do I freeze my membership
You can cancel or freeze at any time, just drop us an email train@royaljiujitsu.co.uk with 10 days notice before your next payment date. If you wish to freeze your membership there is a minimum time of one month with no limit on how long you can freeze for.
Do you have changing/shower facilities?
Yes we do, we have male and female changing rooms which include separate individual toilets. We currently don’t have a shower facility in our new venue but this is planned for 2025.
Do I have to book for every class?
Yes we have a booking system once you have registered for a membership, you must book your class ahead of the scheduled time and check in when you arrive with your 4 digit pin.
What memberships do you offer?
For adults we currently offer two options Gold Membership which gives you access to unlimited training at £99pcm and Blue Membership which gives you access to any two classes per week for £80pcm.
For children we offer two options Gold Membership which gives you access to all classes for £65pcm and Blue Membership, which gives your child access to any two classes per week for £50pcm.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is ample park to the front, side and rear of the property.
How do I cancel my membership?
If you wish to cancel your membership you must do so in writing to train@royaljiujitsu.co.uk within 30 days notice of your next payment date. Payment will continue occur until the end of the 30 day period.
What should I expect in my first trial class?
You can expect to have a great time! We recommend you attend the fundamentals class which runs everyday, you will be provided with a uniform to wear so bring shorts and t shirt to wear underneath, we have a short warm up of general exercises specific for jiu jitsu followed by some taught techniques.
How old does my child have to be to start classes?
We currently offer two age groups for Royal Kids. Royal Frogs for ages 5-9 and Royal Corgis from ages 10+. These classes currently run at the same time and cater for all levels of experience from complete beginner to advanced.
Do you offer women only training?
On our present timetable we do not offer women only training however we do plan to add this to our timetable by mid 2025.
